Our New Ecodan Product

Range and Training Courses

Are Set To Lower CO2

Set to rival the traditional boiler used in domestic

applications, our Ecodan heating range is certain

to change the way in which we can heat our homes. Providing over 50% reduction in CO2 emissions, our Ecodan range is ground-breaking.

As part of our Green Gateway Initiative, we have launched dedicated training courses for plumbers and heating installers nationwide, to enable them to take advantage of the demand for sustainable heating by supplying and installing the remarkable Ecodan™ low carbon heating system.

Ecodan is an air to water heating system that uses a heat pump to utilise free energy from the surrounding air to maximise efficiency and minimise emissions. Tests have demonstrated that Ecodan delivers a reduction of 50% in emissions when compared to even the most modern gas condensing boiler and a reduction of 41% in running costs - greatly reducing consumers energy bills.*

The unit, which works with both radiators and underfloor heating systems, is straightforward to install, requiring in and out water pipes and operating on a single phase electric connection. That said, in order to ensure professional standards are maintained, we at Mitsubishi Electric are only supplying Ecodan via accredited installers who have attended and passed the relevant training courses.

“Whilst Ecodan is fairly simple to fit, we need to make sure that the property has appropriate standards of insulation and efficiency and installer accreditation will ensure that Ecodan is correctly installed at customer sites, therefore operating at its maximum energy efficiency.” said John Kellett, General Manager for the Heating Division of Mitsubishi Electric.

Ecodan Training Courses are held in any one of our bespoke training centres based around the UK in Hatfield, Birmingham, Manchester and Livingston. Each course covers the basic operation of the Ecodan system; ensuring the correct design and application; commissioning and maintenance procedures; and regulations and legislation.  There will also be hands-on demonstrations of the equipment.

After successfully attending the one day training course, plumbers will be listed on the Mitsubishi Electric website as an Ecodan Accredited Installer and will be able to take advantage of the growing demand for this innovative, low carbon heating system.

Ecodan presents a viable and sustainable alternative to even the latest modern gas boilers and offers new built houses help in achieving Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes whilst delivering reliable warmth and a reduction in running costs for homeowners.

With growing awareness of the need for alternatives to gas, the market is set to mushroom in the coming few years and those getting early accreditation will be able to establish themselves ahead of the competition as Mitsubishi Electric increases awareness of the new technology, whilst

supporting installers with marketing and other promotional goods.

“Once you obtain Approved Ecodan Installer status, there is an Introduction Pack, including a graphic sign to be displayed on your van to promote your status as an Approved Ecodan Installer, as well as polo shirts with the Ecodan branding.” added Kellett.
