Welcome for air source recognition

John Kellett, the General Manager of Mitsubishi Electric’s Heating Department has welcomed news that the House of Lords has agreed to support the expansion of the statutory definition of ‘microgeneration’ to include air source heat pumps in a debate held

“If we are truly to do something about the country’s carbon emissions then we must find ways of helping the consumer be green and heat pumps offer us that potential,” explained John Kellett.

“Getting recognition from our Government is another sign of support for modern air source heat pumps which can help homeowners cut CO2 emissions by up to 50% compared to a modern condensing gas boiler.”

Ecodan®, Mitsubishi Electric’s award winning low carbon heating system is an easy to install alternative to gas to provide reliable heating and hot water whilst significantly reducing emissions and fuel bills.

“We believe Ecodan will continue to win over other alternatives to gas heating not only because of the simplicity of installation, but also because it can help cut running costs by up to 30% which has got to be good news in these days of escalating fuel bills,” added Kellett.
